The Paris March for Life () is an annual demonstration protesting abortion held in Paris in late January, close to the anniversary date of the 1975 law that legalized abortion in France. The event was created in 2005 by several French anti-abortion organizations the thirtieth year of legal abortion which it is opposed to. It defines itself as non-denominational and non-partisan. Over the years, the Paris March for Life has become the largest annual anti-abortion gathering in Europe. Estimates of the number of marchers in 2008 range from 2,500 to 20,000. The rally attracts delegations from European countries other than France, notably Italy, Spain, Belgium, the UK, Poland, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland. 2010 saw a sharp rise in attendance, possibly as high as 25,000, compared to 15,000 in 2009. The March for Life () is an annual anti-abortion demonstration held in Prague in late March, close to the International Day of the Unborn Child (25 March). The first march was held in 2001. It is organized by ' (Pro-life Movement) of the Czech Republic. The participants usually carry white crosses symbolizing the victims of abortion. The event is supported by the Latin and Eastern Catholic churches. The march is usually opened by a Mass celebrated by archbishop of Prague. Politicians such as Pavel Bělobrádek (KDU-ČSL), Jitka Chalánková (TOP 09), Eva Richtrová (ČSSD) and Jaroslav Plachý (ODS) have attended the march in the past. The march leads to the Wenceslas Square and ends at the Saint Wenceslas statue. March for Life and Family () is an annual march against abortion. The first march was in Warsaw, now the march is organizing in many towns in Poland, but not on the same date. The ''Centre of Life and Family Foundation'' ( Pol. Fundacja Centrum Życia i Rodziny) is organizing the march in Warsaw and coordinating all the marches named ''March for Life and Family'' in Poland. Other marches are arranged by several Catholic institutions (e.g. ''Fundacja Pro'' – a Polish organisation that opposes abortion, ''Piotr Skarga Society of Christian Culture'' ''(')'', Neocatechumenal Way, Light-Life Movement, Catholic Action and other). March for Our Lives (MFOL) is a student-led organization which leads demonstrations in support of gun control legislation. The first demonstration took place in Washington, D.C., on March 24, 2018, with over 880 sibling events throughout the United States and around the world, and was planned by Never Again MSD in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Everytown for Gun Safety. The event followed the Parkland high school shooting a month earlier, which was described by several media outlets as a possible tipping point for gun control legislation. Protesters urged for universal background checks on all gun sales, closing of the gun show loophole, a restoration of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and a ban on the sale of high-capacity magazines and bump stocks in the United States. The March of the Living (, ; ) is an annual educational program which brings students from around the world to Poland, where they explore the remnants of the Holocaust. On Holocaust Memorial Day observed in the Jewish calendar (), thousands of participants march silently from Auschwitz to Auschwitz II, Birkenau. The March of the Living was founded in 1988, under the leadership of Israeli Likud politician Avraham Hirschson, Abraham Hirchson, Shmuel Rosenman, and Israeli attorney Baruch Adler, a child of a Holocaust survivor who was hidden by one of the Righteous Among the Nations. Adler travelled to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1986 to set the groundwork for the first March of the Living, and also to search for his mother’s rescuer (but could not make contact until the fall of Communism, after 1989). From 1933 to 1945, Nazi Germany operated more than a thousand concentration camps (), including subcamp (SS), subcamps on its own territory and in parts of German-occupied Europe. The first camps were established in March 1933 immediately after Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany.
