Marcel Lefebvre (screenwriter)
Marcel Lefebvre (26 October 1941 – 26 November 2022) was a Canadian screenwriter, composer, author, and artist. In 2007, he was awarded the Prix Luc Plamondon for his work as a lyricist. Biography In his 50-year career, Lefebvre entered into many different fields of the arts, such as teaching, philosophy, music, painting, and writing for the stage and for film. He was known for writing songs for the likes of Jean Lapointe, Diane Dufresne, Ginette Reno, Renée Martel, Renée Claude, Donald Lautrec, Pierre Lalonde, Roch Voisine, Martin Deschamps, and others. He also wrote songs for advertising agencies, which appeared in the ads of many well-known corporations. Lefebvre died on 26 November 2022, at the age of 81. Joseph Armand Roch Voisine, (born 26 March 1963) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, actor, and radio and television host who lives in Montreal and Paris. He writes and performs material in both English and French. He won the Juno Award for Male Vocalist of the Year in 1994. In 1997, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. Beginnings Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, he grew up in Saint-Basile, New Brunswick and later moved to Notre-Dame-du-Lac, Quebec when he was 12. Martin Deschamps (born June 23, 1970) is a Canadians, Canadian rock music, rock singer from Quebec. He records and performs both as a solo artist and as the lead vocalist for the reunited Offenbach (band), Offenbach. Young age Deschamps was born with congenital deformities of all four limbs; he is missing both his left arm and right leg, and has only two fingers on his right hand. At the age of nine, his family moved to Rawdon, Quebec. During his youth, his handicap was not mocked in school. He entertained his student friends in class and maintained good enough grades to be the first of his class.
