Marcel Augusto Ortolan (born 12 November 1981 in Mirassol, São Paulo), commonly known as Marcel, is a Brazilian footballer. Career Marcel started his career in Brazilian regional league, playing for Coritiba. After brief spell in Suwon Samsung Bluewings, he joined Académica de Coimbra in January 2005, for US$1.8 million transfer fee. The two seasons spent in Académica de Coimbra were probably the highest point, so far, in Marcel's career: he managed to score 13 goals, saving the club from relegation in the second season and catching the eye of Portuguese big teams such as Benfica and Porto. He was signed on loan from Benfica on 15 January 2006. Benfica signed the player permanently in the summer of 2006, for €2.66 million fee. However, in December, Marcel was loaned to Braga for one year. Upon his return, Marcel was loaned once more, this time around to the Brazilian side São Paulo for another year. Mirassol
Mirassol is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The city is located in the northern part of the state, 453 km from the city of São Paulo and 15 km from São José do Rio Preto. Mirassol has 60,303 inhabitants (IBGE/2020). The city belongs to the Microregion of São José do Rio Preto. Diego De Souza Andrade
Diego de Souza Andrade (born 17 June 1985) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward for Vasco da Gama, Grêmio, Sport Recife, and many other clubs. In a journeyman career, he played for ten clubs in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, including nine of the Big Twelve, having begun at Fluminense in 2003. He also played for Sport Recife, where he was Série A top scorer in 2016. Souza also had brief spells in Portugal, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. The Copa do Brasil () is a knockout football competition played by 92 teams, representing all 26 Brazilian states plus the Federal District. It is the Brazilian domestic cup and it is the Brazilian equivalent of the FA Cup, Taça de Portugal, Copa del Rey, Scottish Cup and Copa Argentina, even though it has much more prestige and is considered almost as important as the Brazilian League, as the prize money is higher than the ''Brasileirão'''s.
