Manca Košir
Manca Košir (born 5 March 1948) is a Slovenian journalist, philologist, politician, and former film actress. She began her career as a film actress and a mathematics instructor. She then began to work as a journalist, while also studying journalism academically, as a professor of journalism studies and the chair of the journalism department at The University of Ljubljana. She was one of the first people in Slovenia to engage in the academic study of journalism. In 2011, she co-founded the political party Movement for Sustainable Development of Slovenia ( sl), and was elected as the party's first president. Life and career Košir studied at the School of Natural Science and Mathematics in Ljubljana ( sl), graduating with a degree in mathematics and physics in 1969, initially with the intention of becoming a teacher of mathematics.
