Middle Management
Middle management is the intermediate management level of a hierarchical organization that is subordinate to the executive management and responsible for "team leading" line managers and/or "specialist" line managers. Middle management is indirectly (through line management) responsible for junior staff performance and productivity. Unlike line management, middle management is considered to be a senior (or semi-executive) position as middle managers are authorised to speak and act on behalf of the organisation to line managers, junior staff and customers. Team Leader
A team leader is a person who provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a group of individuals (the team) for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results. Team leaders serves as the steering wheel for a group of individuals who are working towards the same goal for the organization. Additionally, in a military context, a team leader is the non-commissioned officer in charge of a fireteam. The team leader monitors the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team and reports results to a manager. Line management refers to the management of employees who are directly involved in the production or delivery of products, goods and/or services.
