"Man in the Mirror" is a song by the American singer Michael Jackson. It was written by Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett and produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones. It was released in January 1988 as the fourth single from Jackson's seventh solo album, ''Bad'' (1987). In the US, "Man in the Mirror" became Jackson's ninth number-one single on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and was certified triple platinum. A public memorial service for Michael Jackson was held on July 7, 2009, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, twelve days after his death.
