Man From Reno (film)
''Man from Reno'' is a 2014 neo-noir crime, drama film starring Ayako Fujitani, Pepe Serna, Kazuki Kitamura and directed by Dave Boyle. Plot A small-town sheriff, Paul Del Moral accidentally runs into and knocks down a man late at night on an isolated road. A best-selling Japanese crime novelist, Aki Akahori, has a one-night stand with a mysterious man who suddenly disappears. The two stories eventually dovetail. Furthermore, endangered turtles, cold blooded murders, a night of heated passion, deceit, paparazzi, secrets, a professional impostor, and a rich Brit and his burly henchmen are involved in this baffling mystery plot. Dave Boyle
Dave Boyle (born 1982) is an American director, writer, editor, and actor. He has written and directed several movies that utilize primarily Asian or Asian-American casts, including the feature films ''Big Dreams Little Tokyo'' (2006), ''White on Rice'' (2009), ''Surrogate Valentine'' (2011), ''Daylight Savings (film), Daylight Savings'' (2012), and ''Man from Reno (film), Man from Reno'' (2014), several of which have won awards at film festivals around the world. Derrick O'Connor (3 January 1941 – 29 June 2018) was an Irish theatre and character actor who trained at East 15 Acting School, London. Life and career O'Connor was best known for his performance as South African mercenary Pieter Vorstedt in ''Lethal Weapon 2'' and for his roles in three Terry Gilliam films.
