''Maledictosuchus'' is an extinct genus of marine crocodyliform belonging to the family Metriorhynchidae. It is the most basal member of the Rhacheosaurini Tribe with a relatively short body length, measuring based on the type specimen. Kimmeridgian
In the geologic timescale, the Kimmeridgian is an age in the Late Jurassic Epoch and a stage in the Upper Jurassic Series. It spans the time between 154.8 ±0.8 Ma and 149.2 ±0.7 Ma (million years ago). The Kimmeridgian follows the Oxfordian and precedes the Tithonian. Stratigraphic definition The Kimmeridgian Stage takes its name from the village of Kimmeridge on the Dorset coast, England. The name was introduced into the literature by French geologist Alcide d'Orbigny in 1842, although it seems to have been first suggested by Thomas Webster in 1812. The Kimmeridge Clay Formation takes its name from the same type location (although this formation extends from the Kimmeridgian stage of the Upper Jurassic into the Lower Cretaceous). Tlaxiaco () is a city, and its surrounding municipality of the same name, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is located in the Tlaxiaco District in the south of the Mixteca Region, with a population of about 17,450. The city is formally known as Heroica Ciudad de Tlaxiaco ("heroic city of Tlaxiaco") in honour of a battle waged there during the 1862–67 French invasion. The Sabinal Formation is a Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous-aged geological formation in Oaxaca, Mexico. It preserves a highly diverse marine fauna. It was initially thought to only encompass the Late Jurassic (Kimmeridgian & Tithonian), but more recent studies have redefined it to cover the earliest Cretaceous (Berriasian & Valanginian) as well. It is part of the Tlaxiaco Basin, a prominent structural basin in southern Mexico that accumulated both continental and marine sediments between the Early Jurassic and the Paleogene.
