''Make a Pest a Pet'' is the latest album by Canadian alternative rock band The Age of Electric. The lead single, "Remote Control", was a Top 10 hit in Canada. It is the band's only album to make the Canadian Albums Chart, peaking at #78 in 1997. It was certified Gold in Canada in 1998. Reissue In 2016, the band announced plans to release a remastered, expanded two-LP vinyl reissue of the album in 2017 in celebration of the album's 20th anniversary. The reissue was released on February 17, 2017. The reissue included four never before released songs from the ''Make a Pest a Pet'' sessions ("Th13teen", "Pass It On", "Blend In", and "Radio One"). The Age of Electric is a Canadian rock band founded in 1989 with members from Lanigan and Regina, Saskatchewan. The members are Todd Kerns (vocals/guitar), Ryan Dahle (guitar/backing vocals), John Kerns (bass), and Kurt Dahle (drums/backing vocals). History The Age of Electric band was conceived by Todd Kerns and Kurt Dahle circa 1986 and was born in April 1989, after waiting for their two younger brothers, John Kerns and Ryan Dahle, to graduate high school. The Dahle brothers traveled two hours north from their home in Regina, Saskatchewan to the Kerns brothers small home town of Lanigan. The band's commercial breakthrough came with their independent EP ''Ugly'' in 1993, which set the stage for the major label release of their self-titled album in 1995. Kurt Colin Dahle is a Juno Award winning, Grammy nominated Canadian musician. Dahle is best known for his work as a drummer and vocalist with the rock bands Age of Electric, Limblifter, and The New Pornographers. Ryan Dahle (born 1970) is a Canadian musician, best known for his contributions to the bands Age of Electric and Limblifter, each of which have scored several major radio hits. The Age of ''Electric'' The Age of Electric was a band founded in 1989 that consisted of two sets of brothers, Ryan and Kurt Dahle, and Todd and John Kerns. Originally named just "Electric", the band got their start by playing original music in cover song clubs. Playing four long sets of music, six nights a week sometimes 48 weeks a year, they not only learned to play but learned how to perform in these rugged bars and pubs of Western Canada. Todd "Dammit" Kerns is a Canadian musician who has worked with several Canadian bands, most notably The Age of Electric. Kerns is currently the bass guitarist and back up vocalist for Slash in the band Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
