Majid Al-Nasrawi
Majid Mahdi Abd al-Abbass al-Nasrawi ( ar, ماجد نصراوي; born 1966) is an Iraqi politician who was the Governor of Basra Province from June 2013 to August 2017. Nasrawi was born in the Ma'aqal area of Basra in 1966. He graduated with a Bachelors in Medicine from the University of Basra, and has also studied medicine at Cardiff University and the University of Queensland. Basra Province
Basra Governorate ( ar, محافظة البصرة ), also called Basra Province, is a governorate in southern Iraq, bordering Kuwait to the south and Iran to the east. The capital is the city of Basra, located in the Basrah district. Other districts of Basra include Al-Qurna, Al-Zubair, Al-Midaina, Shatt Al-Arab, Abu Al-Khaseeb and Al-Faw located on the Persian Gulf. It is the only governorate with a coastline.
