The Magritte Award for Best Original Score (French: Magritte de la meilleure musique originale) is an award presented annually by the Académie André Delvaux. It is one of the Magritte Awards, which were established to recognize excellence in Belgian cinematic achievements. The 1st Magritte Awards ceremony was held in 2011 with Pierre Van Dormael receiving posthumously the award for his work in '' Mr. Nobody''. As of the 2022 ceremony, Vincent Cahay is the most recent winner in this category for his work in ''Adoration''. Académie André Delvaux
The Académie André Delvaux is a Belgian professional organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of Belgian cinema. Founded in 2010, it is responsible for the annual Magritte Awards, Belgium's principal film awards. History The Académie André Delvaux was founded by two associations: the Francophone Film Producers Association (UPFF), represented by Patrick Quinet, Marion Hänsel, Olivier Bronckart and Philippe Kauffmann, and the association of authors Pro Spère, represented by Luc Jabon, André Buytaers, Benoît Coppée and Alok Nandi. Its name was chosen in honour of the Belgian film director André Delvaux (1926–2002). The academy aims to promote the Belgian film industry around the globe. Michelino Bisceglia
Michel Bisceglia is a Belgian musician. Born Michelino Bisceglia on January 4, 1970, he descends from a family of Italian origin. Although he began playing the keyboard at the age of 6, his formal training on classical piano only started when he was already 12 years old. A few years later he switched to modern piano, and by his second year in high school he knew he wanted to dedicate his life to music. Jazz musician As a jazz musician he worked with jazz icons such as Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Toots Thielemans and Dewey Redman. The 4th Magritte Awards ceremony, presented by the Académie André Delvaux, honored the best films of 2013 in Belgium and took place on 1 February 2014, at the Square in the historic site of Mont des Arts, Brussels beginning at 8:00 p.m. CET.
