Magic Bullet Records was an American independent record label specialising in punk rock, heavy metal and experimental music. History Magic Bullet records was founded in 1996 by Brent Eyestone, in order to release an album by Boysetsfire, entitled '' This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice Is Being Born''. The label subsequently released over 140 recordings, including albums by Charles Manson, The All-American Rejects and This Will Destroy You. The label shut down at the end of 2017. Punk Rock
Punk rock (also known as simply punk) is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Rooted in 1950s rock and roll and 1960s garage rock, punk bands rejected the corporate nature of mainstream 1970s rock music. They typically produced short, fast-paced songs with hard-edged melodies and singing styles with stripped-down instrumentation. Romance Of Young Tigers
Romance of Young Tigers was an American instrumental band from Dayton, Ohio that released two albums through Magic Bullet Records and is noted for DIY handmade or recycled packaging for albums for limited or unique runs. History Founded in early 2005 in Dayton, Ohio by Seth Graham, Todd Osborn and Jeremiah Stikeleather. As a two guitar and bass trio Romance of Young Tigers was not able to find a drummer initially and optioned to forgo percussion in favor of loops to keep time. Stikeleather left to join Twelve Tribes after the release of the I Have Supped Full on Horrors EP and Gabe Mitchell and Aaron Smith joined for the recording of the Marie EP. Jesuit (band)
Jesuit was an American hardcore punk band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Active in the mid and late 1990s, the group released twelve songs but disbanded before recording a full-length album. In 2011, Jesuit played reunion shows and released the compilation album ''Discography'', which includes remastered versions of all of the band's songs. History Original run (1995–99) Jesuit formed in 1995 with drummer Jason Howard, bassist Brett Matthews, and guitarists Nate Newton (ex-Channel) and Kelly Posadas. The band's demo, a three-song EP, was recorded by Bob Gurske and self-released on cassette. In 1996, the group released a self-titled three-song EP, produced by Kurt Ballou, on 7" vinyl through Reservoir Records. Old Man Gloom is an American post-metal band originally formed in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but now based in Massachusetts. The group, formed by Aaron Turner of Isis and Santos Montano, expanded to become a sort of supergroup in the Boston hardcore and metalcore scene. Majority Rule is an American hardcore punk band from Northern Virginia, originally active between 1996 and 2004. Influential within the screamo subgenre, their releases include the studio albums ''Interviews with David Frost'' (2001) and ''Emergency Numbers'' (2003) and the split album '' Document #12'' (2002) with Pg. 99. Made Out of Babies was a sludge metal band from Brooklyn, New York formed in 2004 that disbanded in 2012. Biography Drawing equally from noise rock bands such as The Jesus Lizard and post-metal bands such as Isis, the band developed a following after the release of their debut album, ''Trophy''. Lymbyc Systym is an American instrumental band from Tempe, Arizona, which formed in 2001, consisting of the brothers Jared and Michael Bell. The band's sound combines elements of instrumental rock and electronic music. Integrity (band)
Integrity is a hardcore punk band formed Cleveland, Ohio in 1988, but based in Belgium since 2003. A pioneer of the metalcore genre, the band's merger of influences from hardcore punk and heavy metal music, as well as gothic rock, industrial, noise, doomsday cults and western esotericism, was widely influential on the subsequent development of hardcore and metal. The band was a defining part of the 1990s hardcore scene, influencing similarly influential bands such as Converge, Hatebreed and Killswitch Engage. During the 1980s, Dwid Hellion had enjoyed creating "fake bands", whom he would devise backstories and print merchandise for, spreading stories of these bands through word of mouth and calling in to radio shows. Doomriders is an American stoner metal, stoner/sludge metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. The band has released three albums on Deathwish, Inc. Christie Front Drive was an emo band from Denver, Colorado active between 1993 and 1997. The lineup consisted of Eric Richter (vocals and guitar), Jason Begin (guitar), Kerry McDonald (bass) and Ron Marschall (drums). Bands such as Superchunk, Jawbreaker, Jawbox, Buffalo Tom, and Drive Like Jehu were cited as influences. History The band released a self-titled EP and a 7-inch on Freewill Records in 1994.
