Magdalena Ribbing
Magdalena Ribbing (30 July 1940 – 29 September 2017) was a Swedish writer, journalist, etiquette expert and lecturer. She married radio journalist Thomas Hempel in 1981. Career Ribbing belonged to the noble Ribbing family, whose history can be dated back to the 900s. She wrote a book about her family history, and made a documentary about the killer of King Gustav III, her ancestor Adolph Ludvig Ribbing. Between 1970 and 2000, Ribbing worked as a political reporter for Dagens Nyheter, and from 1993 until 1999 she was the editor in chief of the Namn & nytt department of the paper. Ribbing was a "Sommarpratare" (Summer Presenter) on the Sveriges Radio show Sommar i P1 twice, on 13 June 1994 and 21 June 2000. In the Dagens Nyheter newspaper, she wrote a column answering questions about etiquette, manners and style. Sighsten Herrgård
Björn Sighsten Herrgård (8 January 1943 in Helsinki – 20 November 1989 in Stockholm) was a Finnish-born Swedish fashion designer and major trendsetter in Stockholm. In 1987, Herrgård was the first Swedish celebrity with AIDS to disclose their status in public. Sighsten Herrgård received his fashion education at Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm and at the pattern development academies in Stockholm and Copenhagen. His career took off in 1966 when he won the Courtauld International Design Competition with a collection of unisex clothing. In the 1970s Herrgård established internationally in Paris and North America; he also started a company in Stockholm and worked with television, magazines and shows. Alexandra Charles (born 12 November 1946, née Thyra Margareta Inga-Lill Gefvert) is a Swedish former nightclub owner. With her first husband Noël Charles (1940–2013) she opened a membership restaurant-discothèque called ''Alexandra's'' in central Stockholm in 1968 which existed in four successive central locations in that city until 1988. They also initially had a club by the same name in his native Barbados. Stockholm Pride (styled as STHLM Pride) is an annual gay pride festival held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Since the start in 1998, Stockholm Pride has grown. In 2014, some 60,000 participated and 600,000 followed the parade at the streets. The celebrations normally starts with lectures and exhibitions all over the city on the Monday. Pride House is the festival's cultural centre. It is packed with seminars, debates, workshops, exhibitions, film, theatre and other performances.
