Madness (1980 Film)
''Madness'' () is a 1980 Italian crime-drama film directed by Fernando Di Leo and starring Joe Dallesandro. A low-budget film, it was shot in just twelve days. It was first supposed to be directed by Mario Gariazzo. The film was the last film Dallesandro shot in Italy before returning to United States. The Luis Bacalov's musical score is mainly recycled from his scores for Di Leo's ''Caliber 9'' and Maurizio Lucidi's '' The Designated Victim''. Plot (Note: this is the plot to the edited version, the unedited version has several more sex scenes.) Joe escapes from prison by scaling down a wall. To steal a car, he hits a guy with a rock. Another older man sees him, and attacks Joe with a pitchfork. Joe fights him and eventually knocks him out also, then picks up the pitchfork and kills the unconscious older man. He drives off. ''The Designated Victim'' (, also known as '' Slam Out'') is a 1971 Italian giallo film directed by Maurizio Lucidi. Plot Ad executive Stefano Augenti (Milian) is at the height of his career, but has a tumultuous marriage to Luisa (Bartoli). Luisa, a socialite, refuses to fund his projects and resents his affair with French citizen Fabienne Béranger (Christine). On the street, Stefano meets the enigmatic Count Matteo Tiepolo (Clémenti), who warns it’ll be destiny if they meet four more times. Sure enough, they continue to cross paths, and when they meet at a party, Matteo speaks with Stefano alone on the boat ride home to imply he wants something out of their "friendship". Maurizio Lucidi (1932–2005) was an Italian director, screenwriter and editor, sometimes credited as Mark Lender. Born in Florence, Lucidi started his career as film editor in the early 1960s. In 1964 he was assistant director for Pier Paolo Pasolini on '' The Gospel According to St. Matthew''. Luis Bacalov
Luis Enríquez Bacalov (30 August 1933 – 15 November 2017) was an Argentine (naturalized Italian) film composer and musical director. He learned music from Enrique Barenboim, father of Daniel Barenboim - conductor of the Berlin and Chicago orchestras, and from Berta Sujovolsky. He ventured into music for the cinema, and composed now-classic scores for many Spaghetti Western films. In the early 1970s he also collaborated with Italian progressive rock bands. Bacalov was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Original Score, winning it in 1996 for '' Il Postino''. Bacalov also composed significant works for chorus and orchestra.
