Head, Clara and Maria, officially the United Townships of Head, Clara and Maria, is a municipality and incorporated township in Renfrew County in eastern Ontario, Canada, It is on the Ottawa River and on the northern edge of Algonquin Park. Virtually all the communities (Deux-Rivières, Bissett Creek, Stonecliffe and Mackey) and activities are along Highway 17; the rest of the township is largely crown land, which is mostly wilderness. Property taxes are the lowest in Renfrew County. The Guest Peninsula () is a snow-covered peninsula about long between the Sulzberger Ice Shelf and Block Bay, in the northwest part of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. Location The Guest Peninsula extends westward into the Pacific Ocean from the Fosdick Mountains of the Ford Ranges in Marie Byrd Land. The Sulzberger Ice Shelf and Marshall Archipelago are to the southwest. The Crevasse Valley Glacier enters the ice shelf from the south of the peninsula. Driscoll Island and Block Bay are to the northeast. The Balchen Glacier enters Block Bay to the north of the peninsula. The western part of the peninsula is devoid of named features. Mitchell Peak and Davis Saddle are near the center of the peninsula. The Birchall Peaks are east of this, including Maigetter Peak, Swarm Peak and Butcher Nunatak. Mackey Airlines (until 1953 Mackey Air Transport) was a small United States scheduled international airline flying from Florida to the Bahamas certificated in 1952 by the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), the now defunct Federal agency that, at the time, tightly regulated almost all US commercial air transport. The airline was founded by Joseph C. Mackey. Mackey also flew to Cuba prior to the Cuban Revolution. In 1956, Mackey absorbed Midet Aviation, an even smaller CAB-certificated airline also flying between Florida and the Bahamas. Mackey merged into Eastern Air Lines in 1967. Joseph C. Mackey Joseph C. Mackey learned to fly as a teenager in Cleveland, flew liquor across Lake Erie during Prohibition and partnered with Roscoe Turner in air races in the 1930s. Mackey Arena is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. Part of the Purdue University campus, it is home to the university's basketball teams, and occasionally hosts home games for the volleyball and wrestling teams. The arena opened in 1967 as a replacement for Lambert Fieldhouse. History Originally named Purdue Arena, it was renamed on March 3, 1971 to honor Purdue alumnus and longtime athletic director Guy "Red" Mackey.
