Macedonia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2007
North Macedonia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "" , written by Grigor Koprov and Ognen Nedelkovski, and performed by Karolina Gočeva. The Macedonian participating broadcaster, Macedonian Radio Television (MRT), organised the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. Fifteen entries competed in the national selection on 24 February 2007 where "" performed by Karolina Gočeva was selected by a regional televote. Gočeva had previously represented with the song "Od nas zavisi", placing nineteenth. North Macedonia competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 10 May 2007. Macedonian Radio Television
Macedonian Radio Television (), or MRT () for short, is the public broadcasting organisation of North Macedonia. It was founded in 1993 by the Assembly of North Macedonia, Macedonian Assembly. Elena Petreska (, born August 1, 1980) is a Macedonian pop singer from Prilep Prilep ( ) is the List of cities in North Macedonia, fourth-largest city in North Macedonia. North Macedonia has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 21 times since its official debut in . The country had attempted to participate in 1996, but failed to qualify from the audio-only qualifying round. The Macedonian participating broadcaster in the contest is the Macedonian Radio Television (MRT). Dmitry Aleksandrovich Koldun (, Dzmitry Kaldun; ; born 11 June 1985) is a Belarusian pop singer. Koldun rose to fame through his participation in several Russian television talent shows. Boris Novković (born 25 December 1967) is a Croatian singer-songwriter. He has been active since the 1980s. Vasil Garvanliev (; born 2 November 1984), known professionally as Vasil, is a Macedonian singer. He was due to represent North Macedonia with the song "You" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam before the event was cancelled. Elvir Mekić () (born 15 October 1981) is a Macedonian musician. He gained popularity after performing his single "Opasno" with Maja Sazdanovska at Ohrid Fest in 2007. Lambe Alabakovski (, ; born 15 November 1987, in Ljubojno, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Macedonian singer. Biography Alabakovski attended the Euro-College in Kumanovo. He won the M2 Production's Play: Search For A New Star 2004. He made it to the finals and performed the hit "Spasi Me" ("Save Me"), composed by Darko Dimitrov and won by the televoting audience.
