MDM Motorsports
MDM Motorsports was an American professional stock car racing team that most recently competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, and the ARCA Racing Series. The team also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series from 2017 to 2018. The team shut its doors after the 2018 season, despite winning the ARCA Menards Series championship that year. Mark McFarland
Mark M. McFarland (born February 1, 1978) is an American former NASCAR driver and current crew chief. He works for Spire Motorsports as the crew chief of their No. 77 Chevrolet SS in the ARCA Menards Series driven by Corey Day. In 2021, he won championships in both the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East with Ty Gibbs and Sammy Smith, respectively, as crew chief of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 car. In 2022, he and Smith won their second consecutive East Series championship, with the No. 18 car as a Kyle Busch Motorsports entry. Charles Russell "Chase" Purdy III (born November 11, 1999) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He most recently competed full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports. Sheldon Michael Creed (born September 30, 1997) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 00 Ford Mustang (seventh generation), Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Haas Factory Team. Born in Alpine, California, Creed grew up competing in short course off-road racing, winning championships in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and Stadium Super Trucks (SST). Tyler Page Matthews (born December 1, 1996) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 15 Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports. Racing career Camping World Truck Series On January 28, 2018, it was announced that Matthews would drive part-time for MDM Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 99 truck. He finished 21st in his only start for the MDM team. Michigan International Speedway
Michigan International Speedway (formerly named as the Michigan Speedway from 1997 to 2000) is a D-shaped oval superspeedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. It has hosted various major auto racing series throughout its existence, including NASCAR, Championship Auto Racing Teams, CART, and IndyCar Series, IndyCar races. The speedway has a capacity of 56,000 as of 2021. Along with the main track, the facility also features three road course layouts of varying lengths designed by British racing driver Stirling Moss, which utilizes parts of the oval, parts located within track's infield, and parts located outside of the track's confines. Ranier Racing with MDM, formerly known as Ranier-Lundy, was an American professional stock car racing team that last competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the K&N Pro Series East, and the ARCA Racing Series. The team formerly competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series until 1987, fielding Cale Yarborough during the 1980s late in its operations. The team later became Robert Yates Racing after Yates, an engine builder and crew chief with the operation, bought the team in 1988. The team largely fielded General Motors vehicles for its various drivers until switching to Fords in 1985. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck-based stock cars.
