Sunnyside is one of the oldest suburbs of the city of Pretoria, South Africa. The well-established area is situated east of Nelson Mandela drive (and the Apies River), adjacent to Pretoria Central. The N1 is a national route (South Africa), national route in South Africa that runs from Cape Town through Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Polokwane to Beitbridge, Limpopo, Beit Bridge on the border with Zimbabwe. It forms the first section of the famed Cape to Cairo Road. The Pretoria Ring Road, also known as the Pretoria Bypass, is a collection of two bypasses that together form a partial ring road around the city of Pretoria, South Africa. It consists of a section of the N1 highway (known as the Eastern Bypass) as well as a section of the N4 highway (known as the Northern Bypass). The R50 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Pretoria with Standerton via Delmas and Leandra. Route Gauteng The R50 begins in Pretoria, Tshwane (Administrative Capital of South Africa) near the suburbs of Erasmusrand and Waterkloof Ridge, at an intersection with the N1 Danie Joubert Freeway ( Pretoria Eastern Bypass). North of the freeway, it is designated as the M9 metropolitan route and named Rigel Avenue. It begins as Delmas Road and heads south-east, passing through Erasmuskloof and meeting the M10 metropolitan route (Solomon Mahlangu Drive) before passing in-between Wingate Park and Elardus Park and becoming the eastern border of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve. Waterkloof
Waterkloof (Afrikaans for "Water Ravine") is an affluent suburb of the city of Pretoria in the Gauteng province of South Africa, located to the east of the city centre. It is named after the original farm that stood there when Pretoria was founded in the 19th Century. Waterkloof is a highly sought-after area and has some of the city's most expensive real estate, including hilltop homesteads on Edward and Victoria Streets with views of Pretoria. Like many areas of the city, its streets are lined with jacaranda trees.
