BVP M-80
The BVP M-80 (), is a tracked Yugoslav-made infantry fighting vehicle, produced from the 1980s until the country's collapse in the 1990s. Development Early research and development of the M-80 began in 1969, with testing of the first completed prototype in 1974. It was first presented publicly in 1975. First examples of the BVP M-80 rolled out in 1979 but full entry to service happened in 1982. The first production variant was the M-80 which was only made in small numbers. The vehicle used a French-built engine with an output of 260 hp, the same engine as used in AMX-10P. After only a year, Yugoslavia started license production of Daimler-Benz's 315 hp engine in domestic FAMOS factories. This variant received a new designation as M-80A. M-80 (explosive)
M-80s are an American class of large powerful firecrackers, sometimes called Salute (pyrotechnics), salutes. M-80s were originally made in the mid 20th century for the United States Armed Forces, U.S. military to simulate explosives or artillery fire. The "M" is designated by a U.S. military convention for "standard" equipment and "80" is for the 80 grains (5.2 grams) of flash powder within it. Later, M-80s were manufactured as consumer fireworks made from a small Cardboard (paper product), cardboard tube, often red, approximately long and inside diameter, with a fuse coming out of the side; this type of fuse is commonly known as cannon fuse or Visco fuse, after a company responsible for standardizing the product. The consumer version holds a reduced charge of 45 grains (approximately 3 grams) of pyrotechnic flash powder. Microsoft MACRO-80 (often shortened to M80) is a relocatable macro assembler for Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 microcomputer systems. The complete MACRO-80 package includes the ''MACRO-80 Assembler'', the ''LINK-80 Linking Loader'', and the ''CREF-80 Cross Reference Facility''. The ''LIB-80 Library Manager'' is included in CP/M versions only. The list price at the time was $200. Overview A MACRO-80 source program consists of a series of statements. Each statement must follow a predefined format. Source lines up to 132 characters in length are supported. M80 accepts source files almost identical to files for Intel-compatible assemblers. Messier 80
Messier 80 (also known as M80 or NGC 6093) is a globular cluster in the constellation Scorpius. It was discovered by Charles Messier in 1781, being one of his first discoveries. This star cluster is, as to its angle from the Solar System, midway between α Scorpii (Antares) and Beta Scorpii, β Scorpii in a field in Milky Way, the Milky Way Galaxy that is rich in nebula, nebulæ. With low levels of light pollution it can be viewed below the 67th parallel north with modest amateur telescopes, appearing as a mottled ball of light. It has an apparent angular diameter of about 10 arcminutes. Since it is away, this translates into a true (spatial) diameter of about 95 light-years. It contains several hundred thousand stars, and ranks among the densest globular clusters in the Milky Way. M-Bahn
The M-Bahn or Magnetbahn was an elevated Maglev train line operating in Berlin, Germany, experimentally from 1984 and in passenger operation from 1989 to 1991. The line was in length, and featured three stations, two of which were newly constructed. Presumed to be the future of rail transit in Berlin, the line was built to fill a gap in the West Berlin public transport network created by the construction of the Berlin Wall. It was rendered redundant by the reunification of Berlin and was closed to enable reconstruction of the U2 line. The M-Bahn was the second Maglev line to open to public traffic, after the Birmingham Maglev but before the Shanghai maglev train. Construction and running were undertaken by Magnetbahn GmbH. Masters Athletics managed by World Masters Athletics is a class of the sport of athletics (sport), athletics for athletes of 35 years of age and over organized by World Masters Athletics. The events include track and field, road running and cross country running. Competitors are bracketed into five-year age groups (which promotes fair competition). M80 Radio is a radio station in Portugal (and formerly also Spain) playing music from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. History In Spain, the station began broadcasting on January 18, 1993 as Radio 80 Serie Oro. In 1994, the name was changed to M80. On November 21, 2018 at 6:40 CEST, M80 Radio stopped broadcasting in the country, and was replaced by Los 40, Los 40 Classic. In Portugal, it started broadcasting in 2007, in a project made from scratch, adapted to the Portuguese market. The station is owned by Bauer Media Group since 2022. Nuno Castilho de Matos was appointed as its director in January 2024. M-80 (band)
M-80 is a punk band formed in Rhode Island, July 1999. The original line-up was Jeff Hanks (Guitar) and Dave Ladin (Vocals/Guitar) from the Rhode Island Ska/Punk band Racketball and Christian Blaney (Vocals/Bass) and Paul Sumner (Drums) of the local Rhode Island hardcore/punk band Arson Family. In 2002 Paul Sumner was replaced by Brian Bacon on drums. Brian was also a former member of Racketball. In 2003 Dave Ladin left M-80 to form Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime. At that point Jonny Safford stepped in as the new singer and lead guitar player. In that same year, they played on the Warped Tour and had a licensing deal with Fox Broadcasting Company. They also secured a sponsorship from Budweiser beer. M19 Mine
The M19 is a large square plastic cased United States anti-tank blast mine. Intended to replace the M15 mine, the design dates from the mid-1960s and contains only two metal components: the copper detonator capsule and a stainless steel firing pin which weighs 2.86 grams. It is a minimum metal mine, which makes it very difficult to detect after it has been emplaced. This mine is produced under licence in Chile, South Korea and Turkey. A copy is produced in Iran. It is found in Afghanistan, Angola, Chad, Chile, Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, South Korea, Lebanon, the Western Sahara, and Zambia. M80 Motorway
The M80 is a motorway in Scotland, Scotland's central belt, running between Glasgow and Stirling via Cumbernauld and Denny, Falkirk, Denny and linking the M8 motorway (Scotland), M8, M73 motorway, M73 and M9 motorway (Scotland), M9 motorways. Following completion in 2011, the motorway is long. Despite being only a two lane motorway, parts of the M80 Stepps Bypass are used by around 60,000 vehicles per day. The M80 was constructed in three sections. The first section, from the village of Haggs to the M9 near Stirling, opened in 1974, followed in 1992 by the section from the M8 to the town of Stepps.
