M5/A5/Metroad 5 is one of Brisbane's road routes, running from Yamanto to Kedron, Queensland, Kedron and the Inner City Bypass, Brisbane, Inner City Bypass. It is the main western bypass of the Brisbane central business district. The M5 (Centenary Motorway) is a motorway in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It starts at the terminus of the A5 Centenary Highway at Springfield, and ends at Kenmore where it changes its name to the M5 Western Freeway. Western Freeway, Brisbane
The Western Freeway is a freeway in western Brisbane that runs from Milton Road in Toowong to the western side of Indooroopilly where the freeway becomes the M5 Centenary Motorway. The freeway bears the symbol and forms part of Metroad 5. There is one interchange, at Indooroopilly onto Moggill Road. Yamanto is a suburb of Ipswich in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the , Yamanto had a population of 4,971 people. History The origin of the suburb is from a former 1860s cotton plantation which was originally spelt as 'Yamahanto', the property jointly owned by Queensland's first government medical officer Henry Challinor (1814–1882) and his cousin George Miles Challinor (1832–1888).
