The following list is the list of characters from the Global TV police drama series ''Rookie Blue''. Seven of whom being the protagonist. Rookies Andy McNally :Portrayed by Missy Peregrym Andrea "Andy" McNally is one of the series seven protagonists, and the leading out of the other six. She is driven by the desire to do the right thing even if it means not following procedure. Her father, Tommy McNally, was formerly a homicide detective before he burned out. As a result, McNally carries her father's baggage, trying to prove herself. Her mother, Claire, is a social services worker who abandoned them when Andy was a teenager. She studied Sociology/Psychology before becoming a cop and she was an A student. McNally was assigned to Oliver Shaw, who was mentored by her father when he was a rookie. Rookie Blue
''Rookie Blue'' is a Canadian police procedural television series starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith. It was created by Morwyn Brebner, Tassie Cameron, and Ellen Vanstone. The series premiered on June 24, 2010, and aired on Global in Canada and ABC in the United States. On July 17, 2013, Global and ABC jointly announced that ''Rookie Blue ''was renewed for a fifth season. Originally intended to be a single season consisting of 22 episodes (up from the usual 13), the season was split in two. Season 5 premiered on May 19, 2014, on Global, on June 19 on ABC, and on July 20 on Universal Channel in the UK. The second 11 episodes aired in 2015 and were later re-branded as season 6. Rookie Blue Season 4
The fourth season of the Canadian police drama ''Rookie Blue'' starring Missy Peregrym, Ben Bass and Gregory Smith premiered on May 23, 2013 on Global in Canada. Production On June 26, 2012 ABC and Global announced that the show was renewed once again for a fourth season just three episodes into its previous season. On March 21, 2013 ABC and Global announced the season premiere would be May 23, 2013. Priscilla Faia and Rachael Ancheril joined the main cast, whilst former main cast member Melanie Nicholls-King returned as a recurring guest star. Adam MacDonald and Eric Johnson continued to recur, whilst Aliyah O'Brien joined the guest cast as Holly Stewart.
