Miss World Malaysia
Miss World Malaysia is a national beauty pageant and an organisation based in Malaysia. The winner represents the country at Miss World. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age or any other reason), a runner-up is sent. The reigning Miss World Malaysia is Taanusiya Chetty of Kuala Lumpur. She will represent Malaysia at Miss World 2026 pageant. Meanwhile, the representative for Malaysia in Miss World 2025 is Saroop Roshi of Perak. History Eric Morley first invitation for Malaysia in Miss World was in 1959 when the country was known as Malaya. In 1963, the first edition of Miss World Malaysia was organised to select Malaysia's first representative at Miss World. The winner was Mariasela Álvarez from the Dominican Republic. She was crowned by Miss World 1981, Pilín León of Venezuela. The first and second runners-up were Sari Kaarina Aspholm from Finland and Della Dolan from the United Kingdom who were semi-finalists in Miss Universe 1982 four months before. The winner was Pilín León from Venezuela, the first titleholder from her country since Miss World 1955, 1955. She was crowned by Miss World 1980, Kimberley Santos of Guam.
