Lyceum Pirates And Lady Pirates
The LPU Pirates and Lady Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. Lyceum has collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the NCAA. They are also popularly known as the "Pirata ng Intramuros" (Pirates of Intramuros). The Lady Pirates volleyball team also played in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The university's high school varsity basketball team is from the university's International High School in Cavite and are called the Junior Pirates. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)Pronounced "N-C-A-A". is an athletics association of ten private colleges and universities in Metro Manila, Philippines. Established in 1924, it is the oldest collegiate athletic association in the country. NCAA Season 91
NCAA Season 91 is the 2015–16 collegiate athletic year of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the Philippines. It is hosted by Mapua Institute of Technology and was opened on June 27, 2015, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay hosted by Andrei Felix and Myrtle Sarrosa and ended on March 8, 2016, with the Cheerleading Competition and closing ceremonies, as the final event held at the MOA Arena, also hosted by Felix and Sarrosa, together with Anton Roxas, Migs Bustos, Ceej Tantengco and Roxanne Montealegre. This will be the first season after the NCAA renewed broadcasting deal with ABS-CBN Sports, after a 3-year contract with Sports5. NCAA Season 87 Basketball Tournaments
The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 87 are the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for basketball in its NCAA Season 87, 2011–12 season. University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. Games then are subsequently being held at Filoil Flying V Arena, with seniors' games on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Monday games aired by Studio 23. In the seniors' tournament, the San Beda Red Lions successfully defended their championship, sweeping the San Sebastian Stags in a rematch of the last two championship series. 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship
The 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship was the third tournament of the Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) for basketball in its current incarnation, and the eighth edition overall. The champion teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) and 3 other Metro Manila leagues took part in the final tournament dubbed as the "Sweet Sixteen". Other teams had to qualify in the zonal tournaments to round out the 16 teams in the tournament. Home And Away Invitational League
The Home and Away Invitational League was an intercollegiate basketball and volleyball league in the Philippines formed in 2004. It was administered by a group led by Far Eastern University Athletic Heads Anton Montinola and Mark Molina. The member teams were from different leagues around Metro Manila, namely the Ateneo de Manila University, the De La Salle University-Manila, the University of the East, the University of Santo Tomas, and the Far Eastern University from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines,the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, the Emilio Aguinaldo College, the Lyceum of the Philippines University, and the San Beda College from the NCAA. Chico A. Lanete (born August 1, 1979) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player. He is the head coach for the Chooks-to-Go 3x3 pro circuit teams. Gary Ocampo David (born July 13, 1978) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He is a five-time All-Star and co-holds the longest streak for consecutive games recording 20 points or more. National Capital Region Athletic Association
The National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) is an athletic association in Metro Manila (National Capital Region), Philippines established in 1993. It is primarily held during the second semester of a school around November until February. The 23rd season of the NCRAA was opened on January 23, 2016, at the DLSU-D Gym in Dasmariñas, Cavite. De La Salle-Dasmariñas is the tournament host for this season. Basketball and Volleyball are the centerpiece sports of the league but it also stage several events as well. In 2016, the league merged with the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association to become the NCR-UCL Athletic Association.
