Lycamobile
Lyca Mobile is a British mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) operating in 23 countries. It provides international pay-as-you-go SIM cards. The company is chaired by Subaskaran Allirajah. As an MVNO, Lyca Mobile does not own its own mobile network but instead leases radio frequencies from established network operators. It has also established mobile virtual network aggregator ( MVNA) arrangements in certain regions. History The Lyca Mobile brand was launched in 2006, with the first trading using the brand taking place in 2006. By 2016, the company had more than 15million customers. In 2016, nearly twenty Lyca Mobile employees were arrested in France, and about half of them charged with money laundering. As of 2020, Lyca Mobile is involved in three major tax disputes with HM Revenue and Customs in the UK. Subaskaran Allirajah
Subaskaran Allirajah (born 2 March 1972) is a British-Sri Lankan entrepreneur. He was born in Sri Lanka and he later migrated to England and became a British citizen. He is the founder and chairman of Lyca Mobile, a telecommunications company and its entertainment subsidiary, Lyca Productions, based in Chennai, India. The company's first production was the film ''Kaththi'' in 2014. It produced the science fiction thriller '' 2.0'' (2018), which was India's most expensive film and the 5th most expensive non-English-language film at the time of its release. EAP Films was originally founded as Edirisinghe Cinema Theatres in 1972. It has the largest share of the Sri Lanka theatre market with more than 15+ screens island-wide. It started producing films in 1994 and its first release was '' Dhawala Pushpaya'' (1994). The company has been listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange since the 2000s. Launched in 1995 as ETV 2, it was a sister channel of ETV 1. Jaffna Kings (), formerly known as Jaffna Stallions, is a franchise cricket team which plays in the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Kings are the current title holder of the tournament.
