The Luxembourg men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team of Luxembourg. The team is controlled by the Luxembourg Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. History Luxembourg played its first game in 2001 during a qualification game against Iceland men's national junior ice hockey team, Iceland for participation in Division III of the 2002 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The game was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, with Luxembourg losing 6-2. The game was part of a three team qualification tournament which included Iceland, Ireland men's national junior ice hockey team, Ireland and Luxembourg. The tournament was won by Iceland who won both of their games and gained promotion to the 2002 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, resulting in Luxembourg failing to qualify. Luxembourg National Ice Hockey Team
The Luxembourg national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Luxembourg. It is controlled by the Luxembourg Ice Hockey Federation and a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Luxembourg is currently ranked 43rd in the IIHF World Rankings and competes at Division II of the IIHF World Championships. They won their first tournament in 2017 at the Division III level. History Luxembourg joined the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in 1912, though did not participate in the World Championship until 1992, when they placed fifth in Group C2, the lowest tier. They would not return to the tournament until 2000, though except for 2001 have been a regular participant since then. The team plays in the colours of the national flag: red, white, and light blue. The 2001 IIHF World U20 Championship, commonly referred as the 2001 World Junior Hockey Championships (''2001 WJHC''), was the 25th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. The Turkey men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team of Turkey. The team is controlled by the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. They first played at the World Junior Championship in 1998, mainly staying at the Division III level.
