Luzern Verkehrshaus railway station () is a railway station in the city of Lucerne, in the Switzerland, Swiss Canton of Switzerland, canton of Canton of Lucerne, Lucerne. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Lucerne–Immensee railway, Lucerne–Immensee line of Swiss Federal Railways. The station is directly adjacent to the Swiss Museum of Transport. Connections to the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company's ferries on Lake Lucerne are available at the Verkehrshaus-Lido landing stage on the other side of the museum from the station. The station was opened in 2007. Previously a service station "Würzenbach" was located there. Brunnen Railway Station
Brunnen railway station () is a railway station serving the resort of Brunnen, in the Swiss canton of Schwyz and municipality of Ingenbohl. It is located on the Gotthard railway, and is served by long-distance trains as well as by commuter and suburban trains. History After some argument between the inhabitants of Brunnen and those of Ingenbohl about the location, the station was opened in 1882, when the Gotthardbahn opened the section from Immensee to Bellinzona. In 1903 the station was rebuilt because the older station had become too small for the amount of traffic. In 2004, the station became part of the networks of the S-Bahn Luzern and Stadtbahn Zug. The InterRegio, often shortened to IR, is a train categories in Europe, train category for mainly domestic train services in use in some European countries, with Swiss Federal Railways operating the most dense network. InterRegio trains are semi-fast long-distance trains with more stops and usually lower prices than more upscale long-distance trains such as the InterCity (IC). Denmark The InterRegio system was also introduced to the Danish railways in the early 1990s and became an alternative to the InterCity services, with no seat reservation required.
