Love Is All Around
"Love Is All Around" is a song recorded by English rock band the Troggs. Released as a single in October 1967, it was a top-ten hit in both the UK and US. "Love Is All Around" has been covered by numerous artists, including R.E.M., with whom the Troggs subsequently recorded their 1992 comeback album '' Athens Andover''. R.E.M.'s cover was a B-side on their 1991 " Radio Song" single, and they also played it during their first appearance at MTV's '' Unplugged'' series that same year. Wet Wet Wet's cover, for the soundtrack to the 1994 film '' Four Weddings and a Funeral'', was an international hit and spent 15 consecutive weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart. Wet Wet Wet are a Scottish soft rock band formed in 1982. They scored a number of hits on the UK charts and around the world in the 1980s and 1990s. They are best known for their 1994 cover of the Troggs' 1960s hit " Love Is All Around", which was used on the soundtrack to the film ''Four Weddings and a Funeral''. "Wild Thing" is a song written by American songwriter Chip Taylor and popularized by the English rock band the Troggs. It was originally recorded and released by the American rock band the Wild Ones in 1965, but it did not chart. The Troggs' single reached number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number two on the UK Singles Chart in 1966. Their version of "Wild Thing" was ranked at number 257 on the ''Rolling Stone'' magazine's 2004 list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It has also been performed by many other musicians. The Joystrings (originally credited as The Joy Strings) were a 1960s British Christian music group led by classically trained keyboard player and singer Joy Webb, who was an officer in the Salvation Army.
