John Francis Dillon (July 13, 1884 – April 4, 1934) was an American film director and actor of the silent film, silent era. He directed 130 films between 1914 and 1934. He also appeared in 74 films between 1914 and 1931. He was born in New York, New York, was a brother of Robert A. Dillon, and died in Los Angeles, California from a myocardial infarction, heart attack. He was married to the actress Edith Hallor. Ann Forrest (known also by her birth name Anna Kromann or Kroman and also known as Ann Kornan; 14 April 1895 – 25 October 1985) was a Danish-born American actress of Hollywood's silent films. Biography Forrest was born 14 April 1895 in Sønderho, Denmark and died 25 October 1985 in San Diego, California. William Farnum changed her name because he felt that her birth name was too harsh for her personality. Between 1915 and 1925, she appeared in 33 movies. According to Ruth Wing, author of the ''Blue Book of the Screen'', Forrest enjoyed playing homely character roles, and her characters often wept during the film. Chocolate is a food made from roasted and ground cocoa beans that can be a liquid, solid, or paste, either by itself or to flavoring, flavor other foods. Olive Thomas (born Olive R. Duffy; October 20, 1894 – September 10, 1920) was an American silent-film actress, art model, and photo model. Her birth certificate appears to list her name as Oliva but this is widely thought to be an error. In the 1900 census, she is listed as Olive R. Duffy. Thomas began her career as an illustrator's model in 1914, and moved on to the ''Ziegfeld Follies'' the following year. During her time as a Ziegfeld girl, she also appeared in the more risqué show ''The Midnight Frolic''. In 1916, she began a successful career in silent films and would appear in more than 20 features over the course of her four-year film career. That year, she married actor Jack Pickford, the younger brother of fellow silent-film star Mary Pickford. On September 10, 1920, Thomas died in Paris five days after ingesting mercury bichloride, which brought on acute nephritis. Crime film is a film belonging to the crime fiction genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and fiction. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Screenwriter and scholar Eric R.
