Louis Bennett II (born May 19, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays as a defender for Chicago House AC in the National Independent Soccer Association. Career Early career Bennett played college soccer at Marquette University from 2013 and 2015. While at college, Bennett II played with Premier Development League side Chicago Fire U-23. Professional Bennett opted to forgo his senior college season to sign a three-year deal with Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta on August 12, 2016. Louis Bennett (died March 30, 1959) was an American lawyer and politician from New York. Life Bennett was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey. He was a member of the New York State Assembly from 1939 to 1948, sitting in the 162nd, 163rd, 164th, 165th and 166th New York State Legislatures. He was a member of the New York State Senate (26th D.) in 1949. He resigned his seat on July 22, 1949, to run for the New York City Municipal Court. He was a justice of the Municipal Court from 1950 until his death in 1959. Louie Bennett (Louisa Elizabeth Bennett; 1870 – 1956) was an Irish suffragette, trade unionist, journalist and writer. Born and raised in Dublin, she established the Irish Women's Suffrage Federation in 1911. She was a joint editor and contributor to the Irish Citizen newspaper. She wrote two books, ''The Proving of Priscilla'' (1902) and ''A Prisoner of His Word'' (1908), and continued to contribute to newspapers as a freelance journalist. She played a significant role in the Irish Women Workers' Union, and was the first woman president of the Irish Trade Union Congress. Early life Bennett was born in the Protestant area of Temple Road, in the new upper-class suburb of Rathmines in Dublin, into a Church of Ireland family. Louise Simone Bennett-Coverley or Miss Lou (7 September 1919 – 26 July 2006), was a Jamaican poet, folklorist, writer, and educator. Writing and performing her poems in Jamaican Patois or Creole, Bennett worked to preserve the practice of presenting poetry, folk songs and stories in patois ("nation language"), establishing the validity of local languages for literary expression. Early life Bennett was born on 7 September 1919 on North Street in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the only child of Augustus Cornelius Bennett, the owner of a bakery in Spanish Town, and Kerene Robinson, a dressmaker. After the death of her father in 1926, Bennett was raised primarily by her mother. She attended elementary school at Ebenezer and Calabar, continuing to St. Simon's College and Excelsior College, in Kingston.
