Lost Girls (Band)
Heidi Berry (born December 8, 1958) is a British-American singer-songwriter. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she recorded and released four critically acclaimed solo albums on the British independent record labels Creation and 4AD, for which she is best known. Career Her earliest release on Creation Records was the 1987 Folk-Rock styled mini-album, ''Firefly'' A second Creation release, 'Below The Waves' followed in 1989, which saw a more eclectic musical style emerging for Berry. Her association with 4AD began with a guest vocal on ''Blood'' (This Mortal Coil album) in 1991, where she contributed to their reworking of a Rodney Crowell classic, " 'Til I Gain Control Again". Berry eventually moved over to 4AD as a signed artist, releasing three solo albums, ''Love'' (1991), ''Heidi Berry'' (1993), and ''Miracle'' (1995). ''Knightriders'' is a 1981 American action drama film written and directed by George A. Romero and starring Ed Harris, Gary Lahti, Tom Savini, Amy Ingersoll, Patricia Tallman, and Christine Forrest. Oysterband
Oysterband (originally The Oyster Band) is a British folk rock and folk punk band formed in Canterbury around 1976. History Early history The band formed in parallel to Fiddler's Dram, and under the name "Oyster Ceilidh Band" played purely as a dance band at first. The name Oyster comes from the group's early association with the coastal town of Whitstable, Kent, known for the quality of its oysters. Their first album, released under the Oyster Ceilidh Band name, was ''Jack's Alive'' (1980) on the Dingles record label. Levitation (band)
Levitation were an English psychedelic rock band formed in London in 1990. The band consisted of frontman Terry Bickers (formerly guitarist with The House of Love), drummer David Francolini, guitarist Christian Hayes, bassist Laurence O'Keefe and keyboardist Robert White. Bickers announced his departure from the band onstage at Tufnell Park Dome in north London on 14 May 1993. The release of the band's already completed second album ''Meanwhile Gardens'' was shelved. The band enlisted former Some Have Fins frontman Steve Ludwin to replace Bickers, and in 1994 the new line-up released a remixed version of ''Meanwhile Gardens'' in Australia featuring new vocals from Ludwin. Laurence O'Keefe (rock Musician)
Laurence O'Keefe (born 2 January 1965) is an English bassist, best known as a member of Dark Star and Levitation. Prior to joining Levitation in 1990, O'Keefe had played with several artists including The Jazz Butcher. Levitation released several EPs and single plus one album, and split in 1994. He reunited with former Levitation bandmates Christian Hayes and David Francolini in 1996 to form Dark Star, who released ''Twenty Twenty Sound'' in 1999 before splitting in 2001. Terry Bickers
Terence "Terry" Robert Arthur Bickers (born 6 September 1965 in Kensington, London) is an English musician and songwriter. A guitarist and singer, he is best known for his work as the original lead guitarist with The House of Love (from 1986 to 1989, and again from 2004 to 2020) and as the former frontman/guitarist for Levitation and Cradle. During the late 1980s and 1990s Bickers was hailed as one of Britain's leading young guitarists, as well as attracting plenty of press coverage due to his unconventional pronouncements. Bickers's most recent work has been with singer-songwriter Pete Fijalkowski, with whom he released the album ''Broken Heart Surgery'' in July 2014. This Mortal Coil
This Mortal Coil were a British music collective led by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the British record label 4AD. Although Watts-Russell and John Fryer were the only two official members, the band's recorded output featured a large rotating cast of supporting artists, many of whom were otherwise associated with 4AD, including members of Cocteau Twins, Pixies and Dead Can Dance. Felt (band)
Felt were an English jangle pop band, formed in 1979 in Water Orton, Warwickshire, and led by the mononymous Lawrence. They were active for ten years through the 1980s, releasing ten singles and ten albums, although none reached the UK singles chart or albums chart. The band's name was inspired by Tom Verlaine's emphasis of the word "felt" in the Television song "Venus". History Formation Lawrence founded the band in 1979 with the release of the single "Index", a self-published solo recording.
