''Looking for Adventure'' is the third studio album by Eddie and the Tide, released by Atco in 1987. It was the band's second and final album for a major label. The album received its first CD release in 2009 by Wounded Bird Records. " Weak in the Presence of Beauty" and "Waiting for the One" were released as singles. Eddie & The Tide
Eddie & the Tide were an American band started by Steve "Eddie" Rice in 1981. They continued to play the San Francisco Bay Area from 1981 to 1990. They released five albums and one EP. They appeared on the ''Lost Boys'' soundtrack with their song, "Power Play". Eddie & the Tide (originally named "The Suburbs" until forced to change their name by court order) played frequently during the early 1980s in the Santa Cruz and San Francisco Bay Area at venues such as the Monterey Music Hall in Monterey, The Keystone in Palo Alto, The Stone in San Francisco, and The Catalyst in Santa Cruz and built a loyal following. ATCO Records is an American record label founded in 1955. It is owned by Warner Music Group and operates as an imprint of Atlantic Records. After several decades of dormancy and infrequent activity under alternating Warner Music labels, the company was relaunched by Atlantic Records in early 2020. Keith Alan Olsen (May 12, 1945 – March 9, 2020) was an American record producer and sound engineer, who worked with Magnum, Rick Springfield, Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, the Grateful Dead, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, Heart, Santana, Saga, Foreigner, Scorpions, Journey, The Babys, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Joe Walsh, 38 Special, and Eric Burdon & the Animals, among others. Olsen produced over 100 complete albums. His production work earned him more than 39 Gold, 24 Platinum, and 14 Multi-Platinum album certifications. "Weak in the Presence of Beauty" is a song written by Michael Ward and Rob Clarke, and originally recorded by their band, Floy Joy. It was released in 1986 as the lead single from their album of the same name. In 1987, English singer Alison Moyet released a version of the song which was a hit across Europe and Australasia. Floy Joy version "Weak in the Presence of Beauty" marked a new beginning for Floy Joy as the band had undergone line-up changes since the release of their 1984 debut album '' Into the Hot''. Both lead vocalist Carroll Thompson and founding member Shaun Ward left the group in 1985. John Charles Jopson (born 1954) is a film director and screenwriter best known for the 2014 feature film '' Terroir'', the jazz film '' One Night with Blue Note'' and his music videos from the 1980s. Biography John Jopson began his film career in automobile racing, first in 1975 as a stringer filming Formula One races for UPITN in London. He then worked as cinematographer on the Italian Formula One movie ''Speed Fever'' (Formula Uno, Febbre della Velocità) in 1978, and in 1984 directed the feature-length film ''Gasoline'' featuring Mario Andretti and Gilles Villeneuve based on scenes filmed in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
