A modeling agency is a company that represents model (person), fashion models, to work for the fashion industry. These agencies earn their income via commission, usually from the deal they make with the model and/or the head agency. The top agencies work with big-budget advertising agencies and fashion designers. They invest money into developing their talent so they can increase their status within the industry. These top agencies will help train models, get test shoots, layout portfolios, and put together comp cards (composition photo cards) and other printed materials models need. The agencies find work for models by presenting them to designers, photographers, and ad agencies. The agencies are also responsible for booking the jobs, billing for the jobs, and eventually paying the models for their time. Miss Israel
Miss Israel (also referred to as , , ) was a national beauty pageant in Israel. The pageant was founded in 1950, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe. History In the late 1920s, a "Esther, Queen Esther Beauty Pageant" was held in Tel Aviv, centred on the holiday of Purim. The first Miss Israel took place in 1950, two years after Israel's independence. From then onwards, Miss Israel was the national franchise holder for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International. The pageant's official winner represented Israel at Miss Universe and the runners-up at Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Europe. Galit Gutman (; born September 23, 1972) is an Israeli actress, television host and fashion model. Biography Galit Gutmman is married to photojournalist Ziv Koren and the mother of two daughters. She began her modeling career after winning the title “Discovery of the Year.” She went on to become one of Israel's leading model. Sivan Sarah Klein (; born ) is an Israeli model and beauty pageant titleholder who represented her country at the Miss Universe 2003 pageant in Panama City, Panama after she was crowned Miss Israel 2003. She is a television and radio host. Early life Klein was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. Klein was serving as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces during her participation in the Miss Israel pageant. She studied law and business management at the IDC Herzliya college. Michael Mario Lewis (; born 21 December 1987) is an Israeli actor and fashion model. From 2007 to 2008, Lewis modeled for the Israeli clothing company Fox, with Esti Ginzburg. He appeared in fashion shows for Castro, and has been on the cover of several Israeli magazines. Early life Lewis was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, to an Argentine mother and Dutch father. He studied at Ahad HaAm High School in Petah Tikva. Lewis played basketball in the "Ahad Ha'am" high school team, as part of the Premier League for high schools. In the 2006-2007 season, he joined Maccabi Petah Tikva's senior team, when the team played in the national league. In the 2008-2009 season, Lewis played in the AL Or Yehuda team from the second league. He suffers from Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome and was exempted from conscription in the Israel Defense Forces. Chava Mond (; born 1984) is an Israeli model. Biography Chava (Havi) Mond was born and raised in Safed to a religious Jewish family. She attended the city's religious girls' school. She hoped to study law and become an attorney, but at the age of 16 she was traveling in London with her aunt and was offered a job by a ''Select'' model agent. Mond refused, saying that she was religious and that she hadn't completed her high school studies, so ''Select'' waited until she turned 18, at which age Mond completed her national service. Hilla Nachshon (or Hila, ; born ) is an Israeli television host, actress, and former model. Early life Nachshon was born in Kiryat Bialik, Israel, to a family of Ashkenazi Jewish (Polish-Jewish) descent.
