Longjing (), literally "dragon well", is a name applied to a number of locations and products from the southwestern region of the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, China. Most notably, the name refers to the titular Dragon Well itself, located near Longjing village () in Xihu District, as well as the area encompassing the well and the Longjing tea famously grown there. The Dragon Well region consists of a number of villages, tea plantations, tea houses, parks, and a temple. Longjing (; Chosŏn'gŭl: 룡정; Hangul: 룽징) is a county-level city in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, south-eastern Jilin province, China. It lies on the Tumen River, opposite the North Korean city Hoeryong. Wushan County () is a County (People's Republic of China), county located in Chongqing municipality. It occupies roughly and has a population of about 600,000. The county seat is located at the western entrance to the Wu Gorge in the Three Gorges region. Wushan is famous for its Little Three Gorges () located on the nearby Daning River (Chongqing), Daning River. The Wushan county seat is on the northern bank of the Yangtze River channel, which in the Gorges region was flooded after the construction of the Three Gorges Dam. The original town was abandoned and submerged under the rising waters, and the new town constructed on the hills above. Longjing District () is a coastal suburban district in western Taichung, Taiwan. Geography Longjing shares borders with Wuqi and Shalu to the north, Xitun to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, Dadu and Shengang in Changhua County to the south. The eastern part of Longjing is located on the Dadu Plateau. Name and history The area was originally occupied by the aboriginal Papora people. The term ''Longjing'' (龍井) means "Dragon Well"; a well is located in the area. Prior to Japanese rule, the district was called "Chie Tou Village" (茄投庄). Longjing Prawns
Longjing prawns, also known as shrimp stir-fried with Dragon Well tea, is a specialty of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, produced using the meat of live river prawns coated with egg white and moistened starch, fried in lard at a medium-low temperature for 15 seconds, removed from the oil and drained when jade-white in colour, and then quickly stir-fried over extreme heat with boiling water infused with Longjing tea, tea leaves and Shaoxing wine. This dish consists primarily of white and green colours; the colours are elegant and the flavour is light and fragrant. According to legend it arose when the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty visited southern China. Hangzhou's famous Louwailou restaurant is a well-known producer of Longjing prawns.
