Long Live Our State
"Long Live Our State" () is a Soviet patriotic song, composed by Boris Alexandrovich Alexandrov with lyrics by Alexander Shilov. The original melody was composed in the winter of 1942 after the Soviet victory in the Battle of Moscow, with the lyrics being Harmonization, harmonized to it later. It was considered as a candidate for the State Anthem of the Soviet Union in 1943. The music was used in the October Revolution Parades from 1967, and the anthem of Transnistria adopted its melody. Boris Aleksandrovich Aleksandrov (; 4 August 1905 – 17 June 1994) was a Soviet Union, Soviet and Russian composer and, from 1946 to 1986, the second head of the Alexandrov Ensemble which was founded by his father, Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov. Joseph Stalin, second leader of the Soviet Union, died on 5 March 1953 at his Kuntsevo Dacha after suffering a stroke, at age 74. He was given a state funeral in Moscow on 9 March, with four days of national mourning declared. Anthem Of Transnistria
The State Anthem of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, known by its incipit "We Sing the Praises of Transnistria" and also simply known as the Anthem of Transnistria, was written by Boris Parmenov, Nicholas Bozhko and Vitaly Pishchenko, and composed by Boris Alexandrovich Alexandrov. The anthem has lyrics in all three official languages of Transnistria: Russian, " Moldavian" ( Romanian), and Ukrainian. They are, however, not all literal translations of one another.
