London Buses Route 60
London Buses route 60 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Old Coulsdon and Streatham railway station, Streatham station, it is operated by Arriva London. History Route 60 was introduced in September 1982 as a replacement in part for routes 118 and 130, linking Clapham Common with Croydon. In 1998, the route was extended south to Old Coulsdon, replacing route 50 and curtailed northbound to Streatham. Capital Logistics was due to start operating route 60 from September 1998, however the new low floor buses specified were not ready in time. Selkent, Stagecoach Selkent had lost work at the same time and was able to step in to operate most of the service. Streatham ( ) is a district in south London, England. Centred south of Charing Cross, it lies mostly within the London Borough of Lambeth, with some parts extending into the neighbouring London Borough of Wandsworth. Streatham was in Surrey before becoming part of the County of London in 1889, and then Greater London in 1965. The area is identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London. Ian Allan Publishing was an English publisher, established in 1942, which specialised in transport books. It was founded by Ian Allan. ''Buses'' is a monthly magazine published in the United Kingdom that primarily focuses on the British bus and coach industry. Founded in 1949, the magazine was originally published by Ian Allan Publishing, however from March 2012 onwards, it has been published by Key Publishing after their takeover of the former. The current editor is James Day and is published on the third Thursday of each month. The magazine is accompanied by a yearbook published in August every year for the next year. Plumstead is an area in southeast London, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich, England. It is located east of Woolwich. Capital Logistics was a bus and coach operator in London. History Capital Logistics was formed in August 1997 following the merger of Whyte's Airport Services and Capital Coaches the previous April. It operated a variety of coach and contract services around London Heathrow Airport, and some London Regional Transport services, including route H26 Hoppa minibus service. This route used Mercedes-Benz 709D minibuses fitted with wheelchair lifts and was supported by Hounslow Council. In September 1998, Capital Logistics was due to take over route 60.
