Locas In Love
Locas In Love is a German indie rock band. It was formed in the fall of 2001 in Cologne by Björn Sonnenberg and Stefanie Schrank, Jan Niklas Jansen joined a few months later. They have been touring and releasing ever since, though mostly in Germany and bordering European countries. In 2006 they played shows in the US for the first time when they were mixing their second album 'Saurus' with Peter Katis in Bridgeport, CT. The name 'Locas In Love' is taken from a comic by Los Bros Hernandez (as is the title of their first EP 'Río Veneno', Poison River). They are one of Germany's best-known unknown bands. They are championed by other artists such as The National or Malcolm Middleton who plays guitar on 'Saurus' and his former band Arab Strap (band), Arab Strap that took Locas In Love as a special guest on their last two tours in Germany. The Good Life (band)
The Good Life is an indie rock band on Saddle Creek Records. Started as a solo project of Cursive's frontman Tim Kasher, The Good Life quickly grew to become its own established group. The original intent of The Good Life was to provide Tim Kasher with a vehicle to perform songs that did not fit stylistically in with his long-running band Cursive. Kasher fronts the group and plays the part of the singer/songwriter. The other members of the band include Stefanie Drootin, Ryan Fox, and Roger Lewis. The Good Life has its core in those four musicians, but besides Kasher can be a rotating cast of characters involving many from Saddle Creek Records. The band's name came from the original state slogan for Nebraska, the home of Kasher and Saddle Creek, before 2003, when the slogan was changed. Virb was a website owned by Media Temple that let individuals and businesses create their own websites. Users added web content using simple tools and then customized the design of their site using built-in options or with CSS and HTML. They could also connect to networking websites such as Twitter. Blumfeld
Blumfeld () was an indie pop band from Hamburg, Germany, formed by singer and songwriter Jochen Distelmeyer. The name of the band was taken from the main character of the short story "Blumfeld, ein älterer Junggeselle" by Franz Kafka. Blumfeld are counted among the most significant representatives of the Hamburger Schule (''Hamburg School'') and are considered to be one of the most successful combos of the German indie scene. Blumfeld's lyrics are characterized by a distinctive disdain for human life in the context of modern consumer society. Sonic Youth were an American rock band formed in New York City in 1981. Luna is an American rock band formed in 1991 by singer and guitarist Dean Wareham after the breakup of Galaxie 500. Pavement is an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California, in 1989. For most of their career, the group consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals and guitar), Scott Kannberg (guitar and vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums), and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, synthesizers and vocals). Initially conceived as a recording project, the band at first avoided press or live performances, while attracting considerable underground attention with their early releases.
