Livio Bendaña Espinoza (born September 22, 1935 in Diriamba, Nicaragua) is a former Nicaraguan footballer A football player or footballer is a sportsperson who plays one of the different types of football. Club career Born in Diriamba, Bendaña joined local side Diriangén in 1950 and played his first game in 1952, aged 16. His father sent him to join a US military school instead of him moving to Costa Rican team Saprissa and on his return in 1956 he went to Mexico to play for Universidad Puebla. He joined Nicaraguan side UNAN de León in 1958 and had further spells at Diriangén and in Honduras with F.C. Motagua. Diriamba is a city and a municipality in the Carazo department of Nicaragua, with a population of 65,243 (2022 estimate). It is located 41 km south of Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. Diriangén FC Players
Diriangén was a native Nicaraguan king who controlled land from Diriamba in Carazo to the Ochomogo river in Rivas, outside the boundaries of Macuilmiquiztli's Nahua chiefdom of Kwawkapolkan, as well as the Nahua chiefdom of Kakawatan, also located in Rivas, ruled by chief Wemak. Diriangen belonged to the Chorotegas, an Otomanguean people who arrived in Nicaragua in 800 AD after they migrated from central and southern Mexico in 600 AD.
