''Living with Your Ghost'' is the fourth solo studio album by United States-based blues rock singer/songwriter/guitarist from Australia, Kara Grainger. It was released on 1 June 2018. Development The album was recorded at the Wire Recording Studio in Austin, Texas. Grainger wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs on the album, the exception being a cover of her friend Jackie Bristow's song "Broken Record". The album ranges from blues rock, rock and roll, and Americana. Kara Grainger
Kara Grainger is an Australian soul blues and roots rock singer-songwriter, based out of Nashville, Tennessee, United States. She played with the Papa Lips band starting in 1994. In 1998, they were awarded the "Best New Band" award at the Australian Blues Music Awards. They changed their name to Grainger in 1998 and continued to play together until 2001. She signed as a solo artist with Craving Records in 2006. Early life Grainger was always singing, and started learning how to play the guitar at age 12, improvising by her mid-teens. Grainger taught herself to play while listening to musicians such as Etta James, John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Little Feat. She grew up in Balmain, a suburb of Sydney, Australia, known for its pubs and live music venues that caters to jazz and blues music. Soul music is a popular music genre that originated in the African American community throughout the United States in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Anders Osborne (born May 4, 1966 in Uddevalla, Sweden) is an American singer-songwriter. He tours solo and with a band, and often plays in North Mississippi Osborne (N.M.O), a group formed by Osborne and North Mississippi Allstars. Early life As a teen, Osborne started playing guitar and listening to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, and Joni Mitchell records. Ivan Neville (born August 19, 1959) is an American multi-instrumentalist musician, singer, and songwriter. He is the son of Aaron Neville and nephew to members of The Neville Brothers. Career He has released four solo albums and had a Top 30 '' Billboard'' hit with the first single " Not Just Another Girl" from his debut solo album '' If My Ancestors Could See Me Now''. George Stanford
George Simon Stanford (born May 8) is an American, Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, who was signed to Mercury Records. He is a former member and lead vocalist for the band Townhall. Education Stanford is a graduate of Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, where he played trombone in his high school jazz band. Career Stanford attended University of the Arts (Philadelphia) to study music, but dropped out to play with the Philladelphia rock act, Townhall, a relationship that lasted five years (and produced one live album - 2001's ''Live at the Point'' - and two studio albums - 2003's ''New Song'' and 2005's ''American Dreams''). Stuart Sullivan (born March 13, 1960, in East Lansing, Michigan) is an American record producer and recording engineer, based in Austin, Texas, United States. He is founder, owner and engineer of Wire Recording in south central Austin where he has recorded and worked with talent including Paul Leary, Sublime, Butthole Surfers, Canvas and Meat Puppets. Early life Sullivan was born in Michigan but grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana. He attended Indiana University (1979–83) in Bloomington and earned a bachelor's degree from the Marketing and Advertising School of Business. During his time as an undergrad Stuart enrolled in the Electronic Music program which evolved into the university's official Audio Program.
