Stacie Joy Orrico (born March 3, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter and occasional actress. After signing to ForeFront Records, Orrico recorded her first album, '' Genuine'' (2000), which sold 13,000 units in its first week of release. After her first album, she signed to a new record label, Virgin Records, and started to record her self-titled album '' Stacie Orrico'' (2003), which was released by both ForeFront and Virgin. The album, which debuted at No. 59 on the ''Billboard'' 200, was certified gold with over 500,000 sales in the US. The first single "Stuck" reached No. 52 on ''Billboard'' Hot 100, but achieved greater success worldwide. "I Could Be the One" is the fourth and final mainstream single from Stacie Orrico's self-titled second album. It was a limited release (only being released to radio stations in the UK and Poland). It did not fare as well as the first three singles but nonetheless became her fourth top-40 hit in the UK. The 37th Annual GMA Dove Awards, also called the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards, were held on April 5, 2006 recognizing accomplishments of Christian musicians for the year 2005. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually.
