Live Album
An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as digital distribution. Albums of recorded sound were developed in the early 20th century as individual 78 rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl long-playing (LP) records played at rpm. All About Eve (band)
All About Eve was an English rock band. The initial creative core consisted of Coventry-born Julianne Regan (vocals), Huddersfield-born Tim Bricheno (guitar) and Andy Cousin (bass guitar), with other members changing over the years. Their highest-charting UK single was " Martha's Harbour" (1988). The band was active from 1984 to 1993, then 1999 to 2004, achieving four UK Top-50 albums. The band had been recognised for their "unique, folk-rock-influenced take" on the gothic rock style, and Regan has been described as "certainly one of the more talented singers" of the scene in the late 1980s. History Foundation Julianne Regan, a former journalist, played bass in an early line-up of the gothic rock group Gene Loves Jezebel before leaving to form, with Manuela Zwingmann of Xmal Deutschland, The Swarm, the precursor to All About Eve. Fairy Light Nights
''Fairy Light Nights'' is the collective term for a large number of acoustic gigs performed by All About Eve between January 2000 and February 2002. The name stems from the fact that fairy lights were hung from the music and microphone stands. Two live albums were released during this time, one as ''Fairy Light Nights'' in 2000 (sometimes referred to as ''Fairy Light Nights 1'') and ''Fairy Light Nights 2'' a year later. These recordings were also later released as a double album, ''Acoustic Nights'', in 2003. The "Fairy Light Night" concerts featured a simple line-up of Julianne Regan on lead vocals, Marty Willson-Piper on a variety of acoustic guitars and backing vocals, and Andy Cousin on electric bass or acoustic 12-string guitar, with occasional guest appearances by other musicians. ''Return to Eden, Vol. 1: The Early Recordings'' (though as yet there has been no volume two) is a compilation by All About Eve released in early 2002 on their own JamTart label and widely sold at gigs at that time, though also it was (and still is) available to buy in shops and online. It was the fourth album released since the band's reformation in 1999. As the title suggests, this compilation concerns itself with the songs which the band produced under its own ''Eden'' label prior to being signed by Mercury in 1987. As well as some unreleased demos, it includes all the A-sides and B-sides of their ''Eden'' label 7" and 12" singles, and the track "Suppertime": prior to the release of ''Return to Eden'', this last track had only ever been released on a 'various artists' compilation entitled ''Gunfire and Pianos'', put out in 1985 by ''ZigZag'' magazine and the record label ''Situation Two''. Union Chapel, Islington
Union Chapel is a working church, live entertainment venue and charity drop-in centre for the homeless in Islington, London, England. Built in the late 19th century in the Gothic revival style, the church is Grade I-listed. It is at the north end of Upper Street, near Highbury Fields. As a venue Union Chapel hosts live music, film, spoken word and comedy events. There are around 250 events per year. It was voted London's Best Live Music Venue by readers of ''Time Out'' magazine in 2002, 2012 and again in 2014. It has a reputation for great acoustics, thanks to its design.
