is a Finnish commercial television channel. It started out as Helsinki's local television channel PTV in 1990 on the HTV cable network (now part of DNA), and changed its name first to PTV4. On June 1, 1997, the channel expanded to national coverage and changed its name to Nelonen, the Finnish name of the number four. Digital Terrestrial Television In Finland
Digital terrestrial television in Finland was launched on August 21, 2001. The analogue networks continued its broadcasts alongside the digital ones until September 1, 2007, when they were shut down nationwide. Before the analogue switchoff, the terrestrial network had three multiplexes: MUX A, MUX B and MUX C. MUX A contained the channels of the public broadcaster Yleisradio and MUX B was shared between the two commercial broadcasters: MTV3 and Nelonen. MUX C contained channels of various other broadcasters. After the analogue closedown, a fourth multiplex named MUX E was launched. All Yles channels are broadcast free-to-air, so are a few commercial ones including MTV3, Nelonen, Sub, Jim, Nelonen Pro 2 and Kutonen. There are also several pay channels. ''Kumman kaa'' (''With which one'') is a Finnish television comedy series that aired on Nelonen from 2003 to 2005. The series was written by Minna Koskela and Heli Sutela, who also played the lead roles. The first season was directed by Johanna Vuoksenmaa, and the second season by Lauri Nurkse. The music was composed by the band Aavikko. Overview The first season of the series was filmed in 2001 but was not broadcast until February 24, 2003. The series has been rebroadcast multiple times and is available on the Ruutu streaming platform. It has been released on two double-DVD sets.
