The Little Ring of the Moscow Railways (MK MZD, ), is a orbital heavy rail, railway in Moscow, Russia. Built between 1902 and 1908 as ''MOZD'' (''Moscow Encircle Railway'', , or just ''Encircle Line'', ) for mixed use railway traffic, after 1934 the railway was only used for cargo traffic. During the 2010s, the railway was converted to be used for commuter rail service and allows free transfers with the Moscow Metro; the passenger service on Moscow Ring Railway started on September 10, 2016, as the Moscow Central Circle. The line is operated by Russian Railways' Moscow Railway, Moscow subsidiary. Maxim Yuryevich Lazovsky (, nicknames "Max", "Lame"; July 31, 1965 – April 28, 2000) was a KGB and FSB officer who became involved in underground business. According to Alexander Litvinenko and co-authors he was also suspected of participation in Russian apartment bombings in 1999, along with other crimes including murders and kidnappings. The Moscow Automobile Ring Road (), or MKAD (), is a ring road running predominantly on the city border of Moscow with a length of 108.9 km (67.7 mi) and 35 exits (including ten interchanges).
