This is a list of universities in Malaysia. Universities in Malaysia are generally categorised as public and private universities. Private universities include locally established universities and campuses of foreign universities. The list below is classified by the two main categories, sequentially ordered by their locations according to states. For the purpose of this list, institutions of higher education that are authorised to confer their own degrees but do not have the status of universities are included under the sub-classification of university college (including institutions not classified as educational institutions under the ''Education Act 1996''). Other institutions of higher education which do not have the authority to confer their degrees are listed in a separate article. Bangi, Malaysia
Bangi (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: باڠي), alternately Bangi Lama, is a small town situated south of Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Geography It is roughly situated between the towns of Kajang () and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (). The town is surrounded by palm oil estates, most of which were converted to townships over the last 20 years. The town is surrounded by small Malay villages, within , namely, Kampung Bangi, Kampung Bahagia, Kampung Batu Lima, Kampung Rinching. Bangi is not to be confused with Bandar Baru Bangi, a larger township opened more recently. Bandar Baru Bangi is situated about 7 kilometers north of Bangi proper and is nearer to Kajang town. The National University Of Malaysia
The National University of Malaysia (, abbreviated as UKM) is a public research university located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Its teaching hospital, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC), is located in Cheras and also has a branch campus in Kuala Lumpur. The university also has an overseas branch campus in Lusail City, Doha since 2023. In 2022, there are a total of 39,524 students enrolled into the university, 22,127 of which are undergraduate students, while 14,744 are postgraduate students, with 9,083 being Master students and 5,691 being PhD students. Other than that, there are also 413 Asasi Pintar students, 2,175 postgraduate diploma students, and 35 graduate diploma students. Kubang Kerian ( Kelantanese: ''Kubey Kkiye'') is a parliamentary constituency in Kota Bharu District, Kelantan, Malaysia. It is the state's royal seat, under the official name Bandar Diraja Al-Muhammadi. Transportation Kubang Kerian is about 10–15 minutes drive on Federal Route from Kota Bharu, the capital city, depending on the traffic condition. Nibong Tebal is a suburb of Seberang Perai in the Malaysian state of Penang.
