ITV, legally known as Channel 3, is a British free-to-air public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, public broadcast television network. It is branded as ITV1 in most of the UK except for central and northern Scotland, where it is branded as STV (TV channel), STV. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. ''Changing Ends'' is a British television sitcom released on ITVX in the UK from 1 June 2023. It is a semi-autobiographical series about comedian Alan Carr growing up in Northampton during the 1980s, the son of a professional football manager. A second series was commissioned in November 2023 and released in July 2024. Synopsis Graham Carr was a former top-flight professional footballer who was the manager of Northampton Town F.C. when they won the Football League Fourth Division title in 1986–87. ''Catchphrase'' is a British game show based on the short-lived American game show of the same name. It originally aired in the United Kingdom between 12 January 1986 and 23 April 2004. A revival premiered on ITV1 on 7 April 2013 and is still running as of 2025. Steve Radosh created the American series from which the British programme is derived. In the game, two or three contestants have to identify a familiar phrase represented by a piece of animation. The show's mascot, a golden robot called "Mr. Chips", appears in many of the animations. The contestants then earn money based on the amount of phrases they guess correctly. ''Catchphrase'' was presented by Northern Irish comedian Roy Walker from its 1986 premiere until 1999. Nick Weir took over hosting the programme in 2000 and hosted it until the end of series 16 on 23 April 2004. ''Family Fortunes'' is a British television game show based on the American game show ''Family Feud''. The programme ran on ITV from 6 January 1980 to 6 December 2002. A celebrity version, '' All Star Family Fortunes'', followed from 2006 to 2015. In 2020, the original version of the show returned after 17 years with Gino D'Acampo as host which ran until 2023. A third series of 10 episodes was planned for broadcast but was shelved in February 2025 following sexual misconduct allegations aimed towards D'Acampo on other ITV shows. It was later replaced by the 2024 reboot of '' Wheel of Fortune'', hosted by Graham Norton. ''Cooking with the Stars'' is a British competitive cooking reality television series. It began airing on 13 July 2021 on ITV and is presented by Emma Willis and Tom Allen. Format Eight celebrities are paired with a professional chef who becomes their mentor. The celebrities then compete against each other in a number of cooking battles where they prepare a range of different dishes. During cooking, they have the option to bang the gong ''(golden frying pan)'' which allows their mentor to step in and help for two minutes. The mentor chefs also act as the judges, and rate the other celebrity cooks, deciding the winner(s) who will be advancing to the next round, and the losers who are forced to compete in the cook-off.
