A Global Threat
A Global Threat (AGT) was an American punk rock band, formed in Bangor, Maine in 1997. They released four full-length albums as well as many 7-inch EPs and toured extensively throughout the United States. History 1997–2000 Originally formed in Maine in 1997, the band relocated to Boston, Massachusetts in 1998 where it was based until their breakup. The band's original members were Bryan Lothian, Brett Threat, Westie, and Tubby Tim. In 1998 the band recorded and self-released their first EP, ''The Kids Will Revolt Against All Authority'', on Crack Rock Records. Soon after, Mike Graves and Petrov Curtis joined the band (on drums and guitar respectively) and they began playing live shows in Boston and New York. During this period, the band met Mark Civitarese (a member of Boston punk group The Unseen), who would become a major supporter of the band before later joining it himself. Disfear
Disfear is a Swedish crust punk band that formed in the early 1990s and recorded sporadically over the years. After releasing the albums '' Soul Scars'' in 1995 and '' Everyday Slaughter'' in 1997, the group did not release another album until 2003 with a 12-track album, '' Misanthropic Generation'', featuring vocalist Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates and The Great Deceiver and Uffe Cederlund of Entombed. They later worked with Converge's Kurt Ballou for their album '' Live the Storm''. Bassist Henke Frykman died of cancer on 25 March 2011. Influences Tomas Lindberg has cited The Ramones, AC/DC, Motörhead, The Wipers, The Dead Boys, The Stooges, Jerry's Kids, Articles of Faith, and Uniform Choice as musical influences, as well as Michel Foucault as a conceptual influence. Oxymoron (band)
Oxymoron was a German punk rock band formed in 1992. The band was founded by Sucker (vocals) and his cousin Björn (drums), along with two friends, Martin (guitar) and Filzlaus (bass). Career Originating from Germany, their first real public performance was at an annual punk rock festival in their hometown, along with other local bands. After the show, they were offered several slots as support acts for more established bands all over the world. In May 1994, they released their debut EP, ''Beware, Poisonous!'' on their own Oxyfactory Records label. The EP was soon reissued by Helen of Oi! Records in October of that year, which led to a full-length album deal. While recording ''Fuck The Nineties—Here’s Our Noize'', bassist Filzlaus left the band, and was eventually replaced by a friend, Arne. Helen of Oi! One Man Army (band)
One Man Army is an American punk rock band that was formed in San Francisco, California, United States, in 1996 and separated in 2005 and reunited in 2011. The band was discovered by Billie Joe Armstrong while playing in an East Bay club, and their debut album ''Dead End Stories'' was the first release on Adeline Records, Armstrong's label. History Originally consisting of Jack Dalrymple ( guitar, lead vocals), Brandon Pollack (drums), and James Kotter (bass), the members at the time of separation were Dalrymple, Heiko Schrepel (bass, backup vocals) and Chip Hanna (drums). Foreign Legion (band)
Foreign Legion is a punk band from South Wales. History 1984–1991 Foreign Legion formed in 1984 from the ashes of a band called Society, later Dead On Arrival. Dead on Arrival had one song on 1984's ''Bullsheep Detector'' album. Following the name change to ''Foreign Legion'' (due partly to people shortening it to DOA, which could cause confusion with the Canadian band of that name) and a number of line-up changes (drummers in particular) the band released their first EP in 1986, on their own ''Rent a Racket'' label with the line-up of M.H. on vocals, Lynne Murphy on guitar, Helen James on bass and Paul (Marshon) Marsh on drums. The Ducky Boys
The Ducky Boys are a street punk band from Boston. Since forming in 1995 in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, the band has released six full-length albums and over 80 songs. The band's name is derived from the name of an Irish street gang in the 1979 movie, '' The Wanderers''. For the past ten years, the band has been composed of frontman Mark Lind (bass guitar and vocals), Jason Messina drums and guitarist Douglas Sullivan. The Ducky Boys have released five studio albums (the last three from this current line-up) along with several 7-inch records and appearances on compilations.
