List Of Socialist Parties With National Parliamentary Representation
The following is a list of political parties presently espousing a variety of socialism which have representation in national parliaments, grouped by states in which they operate. The list does not contain parties previously represented in parliaments, nor social democratic parties. 173 socialist, communist and anti-capitalist parties have been elected worldwide to parliament in 74 different recognized and non-recognized states. A political party is an organization that coordinates candidates to compete in a particular area's elections. It is common for the members of a party to hold similar ideas about politics, and parties may promote specific political ideology, ideological or policy goals. 2021 Algerian Legislative Election
Snap parliamentary elections were held in Algeria on 12 June 2021 to elect all 407 members of the People's National Assembly. Initially expected to be held 2022, the elections were brought forward following a constitutional amendment approved in a referendum in November 2020. Solidary Party
The Solidary Party (; PSOL) is a Co-operatism, co-operatist political party in Argentina, founded by banker and politician Carlos Heller in 2007. It was part of the Frente de Todos (2019 coalition), Frente de Todos coalition, and was part of the kirchnerist Front for Victory from its foundation until the alliance's dissolution in 2019. The party was also previously aligned with New Encounter. The Union for the Homeland (, UP) is a centre-left political and electoral coalition of Peronist political parties in Argentina. It has been the main opposition coalition since December 2023. The Patria Grande Front () is a leftist political front in Argentina founded by activist and social leader Juan Grabois. It was founded in October 2018, ahead of the 2019 Argentine general election, in support of the candidacy of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and in opposition to the government of Mauricio Macri. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition.
