Bon Accueil State College or Bon Accueil State Secondary School, S.S.S. Bon Accueil, is an academic secondary school for girls in Bon Accueil, in the Flacq district of Mauritius. The school was established as a state sixth form college; the foundation stone was laid in December 2001 and the school opened on 11 January 2003 with 210 lower VI students. The Royal College Curepipe (commonly known as RCC) is the most prestigious secondary school in Mauritius, with extremely high admission standards. Since 1791 it has been regarded as a school of excellence and started to build a consistent laureateship from the 1800s and now has 207 years of laureateship. Curepipe (), also known as ''La Ville-Lumière'' (The City of Light), is a town in Mauritius, located mainly in the Plaines Wilhems District. Its eastern part lies in the Moka District. The town is administered by the Municipal Council of Curepipe. Curepipe lies at a higher elevation, often referred to as the "Central Plateau". According to the census made by Statistics Mauritius in 2018, the population of the town was at 78,618. Etymology The town's name, Curepipe, is said to be originated from the French ''curer sa pipe'', which translates to "cleaning his/her pipe". There are several theories by historians as to the naming of the city. Some historians believe that the name was given as travellers and soldiers from the 19th century often travelled from Port Louis and Grand Port (now Mahébourg) to refill their pipes in Curepipe. St. Andrew's School is a private, Anglican secondary school in Rose-Hill, Mauritius. It is commonly referred to as SAS. It was founded in February 1943 by Father Alan Rogers in his study at the parsonage of St Paul's, Vacoas, under the blessing of Bishop Hugh Otter-Barry.
