Zambia

Kansenshi Secondary School
Kansenshi Secondary School is a high school in central Ndola, Zambia, Southern Africa. It has about 1,500 pupils from grade 8 to 12. History The school was built in the 1950s (to be confirmed) during the colonial period when Zambia was called Northern Rhodesia, and was called Llewellyn High School then. A laboratory was built at the school in 1953. Following independence on 24 October 1964, the school was renamed Kansenji Secondary School in May 1965. In 1972 it was renamed Kansenshi Secondary School and is now called Kansenshi High School. The school is located in the Kansenshi (previously called Kansenji) area of Ndola, in the Zambian Copperbelt Province. It has a wide catchment area. Lower education in Zambia is divided into three levels and these are namely: primary, junior secondary and upper secondary. Higher education in Zambia has improved in the recent years due to the increase of private universities and colleges. The biggest university is the public University of Zambia which is located in the capital city of Lusaka along the great east road and hosts a number of local and international students. The Copperbelt University is the second largest public university and is located in the Copperbelt province of Zambia in Kitwe, and the youngest public university is Mulungushi University, with its main campus 26 km north of Kabwe. Zambia Forestry College
The Zambia Forestry College (ZFC) was established in 1949 to provide technical training in forestry. In the same year, it produced the first forest guards. In the following year, Forest Rangers were trained. The college has since been growing to cope with the changing demand for natural resource trained staff. By 1963, over 300 Forest Rangers (Certificate holders) and Forest Guards had been trained. Training for Foresters (Diploma holders) commenced in 1963 with nine students. Munali Secondary School
Munali Secondary School is a state-funded secondary school located on the Great East Road in Lusaka, Zambia. Munali was the first secondary school for black students in Zambia's history. Some of its alumni are notable Zambian politicians and public figures: History Colonial times In colonial times, Munali was intended as Northern Rhodesia's principal school for talented native Zambians. The school was first established in 1938 as Entral Trade School.
