Below is a chronological list of school attacks in China. 1990s July 1995 On July 10, 1995, Dong Chi (董驰), armed with a double-barreled shotgun and garden shears, attacked staff and students at a kindergarten in Meihekou, killing a six-year-old girl and wounding 15 other students and a teacher. Dong was shot and killed by police. April 1996 On April 1, 1996, Wang Xiangjun (王湘军), who was described as a mental patient, broke into two schools in Yizhang County, Hunan, stabbing seven students to death and injuring five others. Meihekou
Meihekou () is a city of 600,000 in Jilin, People's Republic of China. It is a regional transport hub, connecting three railway lines, all of which are single track, and two national highways. The city is also a major lorry transshipment point in the region as it is also the junction of two trunk roads, connected to Liaoyuan in the northwest. The city is administratively a county-level city of the prefecture-level city of Tonghua, and is its northernmost county-level division. Yunnan University
Yunnan University (YNU; zh, s=云南大学, p=, labels=no) is a provincial public university in Kunming, Yunnan, China. It is affiliated with the province of Yunnan, and co-funded by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education of China. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction. Founded in December 1922, Yunnan University started to enroll in April 1923. Ruzhou () is a county-level city in the west-central part of Henan province, China, and is under the administration of Pingdingshan. It was called Linru County () until 1988.
