The List of railway routes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern provides a list of all railway routes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northeastern Germany. This includes Intercity-Express, Intercity, Regional-Express and Regionalbahn services. In the route tables, the major stations are shown in bold text. Where intermediate stations are not given, these are replaced by three dots "...". Intercity services The following Deutsche Bahn operated Intercity-Express (ICE), EuroCity (EC) and Intercity (IC) services run through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Regional services The following Regional-Express and Regionalbahn services run through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rostock S-Bahn The Rostock S-Bahn is the local railway network of the Rostock agglomeration. It has 3 lines, all passing through Rostock Hauptbahnhof. ICE 4
ICE 4 is a brand name for long-distance Intercity-Express high-speed trains being procured for Deutsche Bahn. Procurement started around 2008 for replacements for locomotive-hauled Intercity (Deutsche Bahn), InterCity and EuroCity in Germany, EuroCity train services, and was later expanded to include replacements for ICE 1 and ICE 2 high-speed trainsets. In 2011 Siemens Mobility was awarded the contract for 130 seven-car intercity train replacements, and 90 ten-car ICE train replacements, plus further options – the contract for the ten-car sets was modified in 2013 to expand the trainset length to twelve vehicles. The name ''ICx'' was used for the trains during the initial stages of the procurement; in late 2015 the trains were rebranded 'ICE 4', at the unveiling of the first train set, and given the class designation 412 by Deutsche Bahn. Schwerin Hauptbahnhof
Schwerin Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station of the capital of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located in the northwest of the central city. It includes four tracks on two platforms and a siding west of the fourth track. Currently the station is used by about 12,000 passengers a day. Building The station building was built in 1889 and 1890 to a design by E. Müller in the style of the Gründerzeit. The main hall has two lower links connecting to corner pavilions. The entrance hall was lowered in 1927. A few shops are located in the lobby next to the service facilities of Deutsche Bahn. A pedestrian tunnel leads from the hall to two island platforms with four platform tracks. On the opposite side of the station the tunnel is connected to two staircases and an elevator. Berlin Südkreuz Station
Berlin Südkreuz station () is a railway station in the German capital Berlin. The station was originally opened in 1898 and is an interchange station. The Berlin Ringbahn line of the Berlin S-Bahn metro railway is situated on the upper level and connects to the east and west, whilst the Anhalter Bahn and Dresdner Bahn intercity railway routes reach the station on the lower, north-south level. The station was extensively rebuilt between the late 1990s and 2006, and was renamed Berlin Südkreuz on 28 May 2006. Eberswalde Hauptbahnhof
Eberswalde Hauptbahnhof is historically the most important and now the only remaining station in the city of Eberswalde in the German state of Brandenburg. It was opened in the summer of 1842 outside the then city limits on the Berlin–Szczecin railway. The city fathers of Eberswalde did not want a modern railway in their city, so the station was built three kilometres west of the city centre in a wooded area where the Westend district is today. Station Eberswalde was one of the first cities in Germany to be connected by rail. Seven years after the Bavarian Ludwig Railway, first German railway line was opened between Nuremberg and Fürth, it was then still unusual for German cities to be connected to the very new railway networks. Pasewalk () is a railway station in the town of Pasewalk, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The station lies on the Angermünde–Stralsund railway and the Bützow–Szczecin railway. ICE 2
The ICE 2 is the second series of German high-speed trains and one of six in the Intercity-Express family since 1995. The ICE 2 (half-) trains are even closer to a conventional push–pull train than the ICE 1, because each train consists of only one locomotive (Class 402, called ''powerhead''), six passenger cars (Classes 805 to 807) and a cab car (Class 808). Eisenach Station
Eisenach Hauptbahnhof is the main station of the city of Eisenach in the German state of Thuringia. It is a transportation hub, located on the Thuringian Railway (Berlin/Dresden–) Halle–Bebra (–Frankfurt am Main) and at the Werra Railway (Eisenach–Meiningen– Eisfeld). Eisenach Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station. ICE 1
The ICE 1 is the first batch-produced German high-speed train and the first of now several within the Intercity Express family. Revenue service at speeds up to started in 1991, it was raised to in May 1995. Trainsets consist of two power cars (Class 401) and up to 14 intermediate cars (Classes 801 to 804). Occasionally, power cars and intermediate cars of the ICE 2, ICE 2 are used as well (Classes 402, 805 to 808). Trainsets always operate as a whole train and cars cannot be coupled in regular service. One of the 60 trainsets (trainset 51) was destroyed in the Eschede train disaster, which also led to a temporary speed reduction to again. The others were refurbished between 2005 and 2008 and will remain in service for ten to fifteen additional years. Halle (Saale) Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in the city of Halle (Saale) in southern part of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The station is situated east of the city centre and is a category 2 station. The station is one of the most important transport hubs in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
